In the year 2005 Kenya invented the Chaise Bed, a 4 in 1 multi-functional convertible bed, to her astonishment, was a unique creation. This inspiration occurred when engaging in extensive research for a convertible furniture piece that offered space utilization, style, quality, and comfort for my small guest bedroom, which also functioned as an office. The thought of buying a sofa bed filled her with dread due to her grim recollections of its discomfort.

Five years prior to inventing the Chaise bed, she met her father for the first time. She learned that he is an exceptionally skilled carpenter who can construct almost anything and decipher blueprints within minutes.

Kenya never imagined that her dream of meeting her dad would materialize. At age 21, he received her letter expressing a desire to know him, and he and his wife welcomed her with open arms. 

The journey from patent to market was lengthy and fraught with challenges. Despite the difficulties, she persevered. It's worth noting that her supportive husband was the first to realize that his wife had crafted something unique that warranted a patent.

Soon after, they embarked on this venture together—husband, dad, and daughter. The bond with her dad grew even stronger throughout this journey. Her father accompanied her at the INPEX Invent Help Inventor show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she on two occasions showcased the chaise bed convertible furniture as an exhibitor. Being at the show with her dad was an extraordinary experience; he's not just a master carpenter but a wood genius! He invested so much love into the prototype, leading to her winning two gold medals competing with inventors globally. It has been a journey of almost 20 years but with patience and endurance it finally gave birth to Baha-Furniture. Baha-Furniture started initially with the Chaise Bed and then there was a need to grow with home decor items and additional products that provide practical solutions to daily living
